In this video, you’ll learn how to connect a CODESYS PLC to Factory IO using the OPC DA protocol. You’ll see how to create a new project in CODESYS, configure global variables for data exchange, and set up the Symbol Configuration to allow external access.

The video then guides you through writing basic PLC logic and downloading your project to a soft PLC. Next, you’ll set up the CODESYS OPC DA Server, configure user management, and prepare the OPC Configurator so Factory IO can communicate with your PLC project.

Then, you’ll learn how to configure the OPC driver in Factory IO, map sensors and actuators to tags, and run the simulation to test your program.
