-- ENG -- If we had fallen for the excellent first album Come, Sweet Death from the Swedes of IMPERISHABLE in 2023, we were impatient to know the sequel, in the absence of concerts in France ! Also, we were perhaps a little quick to label the music as Swedish melodic death metal given their influences and their origin (the city of Gothenburg). On their second attempt entitled Swallowing the World (@hammerheartrecords), the Scandinavian quartet shows us other influences and aspects of their metal, sometimes more fundamentally heavy/thrash, sometimes also inspired by the first albums of Death, with a less obvious and more progressive side here. After several missed appointments with its guitarist/bassist Robin Holmberg whom we thank again, here is our new interview. Check our previous interview and album review in 2023 here :

-- FR -- Si nous avions craqué en 2023 sur l'excellent premier album Come, Sweet Death des Suédois d'IMPERISHABLE, nous les étions impatients de connaître la suite, à défaut de concerts par chez nous en France. Aussi, on avait peut-être étiquetté un peu vite la musique en tant que death metal mélodique suédois étant donné leurs influences et leur origine (la ville de Göteborg). Sur leur second essai intitulé Swallowing the World (@hammerheartrecords), le quatuor scandinave nous montre d'autres influences et aspects de leur metal, tantôt plus foncièrement heavy/thrash, inspiré parfois aussi par les premiers albums de Death, avec un côté moins évident et plus progressif ici. Après plusieurs rendez-vous manqués avec son guitariste/bassiste Robin Holmberg que l'on remercie encore, voici notre nouvelle entrevue.
