So just keep going believe in the stuff that brings you true joy and true happiness because that is how you water the tree that is going to grow and become your life. I need you to stay the path, stay the course. I need you to embrace happiness within instead of happiness outside. When I was leaving Fallon [The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon] last night, Chris Pratt said a beautiful quote to me. He said, 'When the light that shines on you is brighter than the light within you, that light will kill you.' Let that sink in, and just make sure that the socially acceptable hate that has become the norm finds its way out of your life and that your own acceptance finds its way in its life. That is what the source of 'Lost Americana' [mgk's new album] is. That led me to writing that album, and that is why I stand so proudly on the songs I made."
