Grace O'Malley: Born around 1530 in County Mayo, Ireland, Grace O'Malley, also known as Gráinne Ní Mháille, was a formidable chieftain and pirate. Following her father's legacy, she commanded the Ó Máille clan's fleet, engaging in trade and piracy along the Irish coast. Her defiance of English authority led to a historic meeting with Queen Elizabeth I in 1593, where she negotiated the release of her captured family members. Grace's leadership and maritime prowess have cemented her legacy as Ireland's Pirate Queen.
