Walking around NYC in general can feel like a hike, but did you know there's an actual designated hike in Queens called Hike New York - Long Island City?

Originally part of a 1994 art installation, the 5 mile path through LIC, Astoria & Sunnyside is marked by a series of street signs with a logo of a cuffed trouser leg and black dress shoe in midstride.

I first posted about this a couple of years ago, and I’ve since been scouring the streets of LIC like it was a scavenger hunt looking for these signs, but many of them have disappeared over the years.
