On 14 October 1996, Boyzone were interviewed live in the After Five studio by ITN's Caron Keating. Bandmates Ronan Keating, Keith Duffy, Stephen Gately, Mikey Graham, and Shane Lynch shared their excitement at finally having reached Number 1 in the charts with their new single, "Words". Ronan Keating took the time to say "thanks a million" to the fans, while Mikey Graham admitted he had spent the previous night in Dublin celebrating the news.
