For perspective, a £1 in 1977 is equivalent to approx. £6.25 today (2020) and the average working wage was about £45-50 per week. But inflation was very high in the mid 1970's, around 15% compared to an average of about 1-2% over the past many years.
Those lovely polyester dresses at 0:07 would be about £40 in today's money and that FAB radiogram at 1:41 would be an eye-watering £840...!!!
