The Floating Opera is the only studio album by an American psychedelic/progressive rock band released in 1971. The album was released on Embryo Records and was noted for its unique blues-based psychedelic rock sound and the members' individual performances.
In particular, Steve Welkom's emotional vocals and Carol Lees' keyboard performance make the album's sound unique.
