This man grew up poor. He survived by picking through the garbage. Whenever he finds paper, it would be a good day because he gets to draw. He has a younger brother and a younger sister. When he was 15, his aunt was able to start funding his studies but because he got into a not very good university, he thought he wasn't worth investing the money into and stopped receiving help from his aunt.
It's unknown what he does after that, but he managed to get out of his poor village. When he was 27, his mom asked him to come home. As his younger brother had just left for university (funded by their aunt), and she needed a man at home.
Thinking he wasn't going to do much anyway, he dutifully returned home. He carried the self pity with him everywhere he went. The stress caused him to start developing heart issues. Last year, he has an open heart surgery that left a nasty scar on his chest. At 31, he developed a heart issue.
One day, he decided to stop pitying himself and started writing. His books became a huge hit. Although it's too late for him to enjoy the money, he knew the money could help students in his village escape poverty and go on to live a full life he'll never get to have.
What do you think about his act of kindness? Let's hope he sells more books.
