Rage 2 (stylized as RAGE 2, from English - "Rage 2") is a computer game in the genre of first-person shooter, the sequel to the 2011 game, Rage. Like the first part of the franchise, Rage 2 will be published by Bethesda Softworks, but the development will be done not only by the developer of the original game, id Software studio, but also by the Swedish company Avalanche Studios. The game was officially announced on May 14, 2018 with the release of a teaser trailer. On May 15, 2018, the first gameplay trailer was released. The game was released on Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms on May 14, 2019. The game uses the Apex engine developed by Avalanche ; for id Software, Rage 2 was the first game created on an engine not developed in the bowels of the studio.
