We chase the train to Ventura Transfer as it pulls and spots long strings of hoppers and tankers, then pulling onto the Carson Industrial Lead to serve DB Shencker, which receives boxcars, hoppers, and coil cars. Once complete, the train shoves back down the Drill into the Manuel Passes on the San Pedro Sub.
With its pickups dropped off at the Manuels, the engines proceed lite power back to Mead Yard where they will tie up for the afternoon.
A pair of EMD GP38-2s, U{ 660 and 609, power today's local with graffiti covering the side of the former, in typical SoCal fashion. Thanks for watching!
