I.D.K. - "What We Do" Official Lyric Video
Artist City, State, Country: Cliffside Park, New Jersey, U.S.A.
Artist Bio: I.D.K is a punk/hardcore crossover band from Bergen County, New Jersey, U.S.A.
History 1991 – present
I.D.K. was formed in 1991 by vocalist Anthony (Red) Paladino. I.D.K. had several lineup changes and recorded several demos that were released on cassette tapes between the years 1991–1994.
During this time I.D.K. played local Northern New Jersey venues such as The Pipeline and Studio 1.
They released a self-titled 7-inch vinyl EP in 1994 which they sold out of one thousand copies through the local punk/hardcore community they played/frequented.
With a finalized line-up in 1996 that consisted of Anthony Paladino a/k/a Red (Lead Vocals and song writer), Frank Abruzzo (Guitar), Tom Conti (Bass), and Gino Gambino (Drums), I.D.K. released their first CD on Bush League Records (now defunct) which was a 5-song EP titled 'To Kill for the Good of the Fight for the Right to be Right'.
I.D.K. played throughout the New York metro area over the following year.
In 1997 I.D.K. signed onto record label Earache Records. I.D.K.'s second release was a 5-song EP titled 'Taking on the Monster' (Earache catalog MOSH172).
Immediately following their three month tour of the U.S. in support of the 'Taking on the Monster' record, Gino Gambino was replaced by Keith Debasi on the drums and Frank Abruzzo was replaced by Scott Dorey on the guitar.
I.D.K. with the new line up signed a one-off deal with record label The Music Cartel.
In 1998 I.D.K. released their first full-length album as a CD titled 'Til Death Do Us Part' on The Music Cartel (TMC005CD).
I.D.K. played the NY metro area until the year 2000 in support of the full length.
I.D.K. continued to occasionally play local bars on and off for the next eight years in northern New Jersey.
Ten years after the release of 'Til Death Do Us Part', I.D.K. released a 4-song EP titled 'To Do What Must Be Done' in 2008. That line-up consisted of Red (lead vocals/song writing), Tom Conti (Bass), Fabio Amato (Drums), and Mike Nappi (Guitar).
The band became completely inactive during the pandemic years (2019-2022).
Once the smoke of the pandemic cleared, the guys reformed again as a 5-piece with the addition with the band's very first guitar player Adrian Spoleti.
