You asked for it, so here’s a closer look at the Harley Benton SC-450 P90 GT Classic Series gold top guitar! I recently borrowed this modded guitar from a friend to shoot out against my new Ferris Blue Harley Benton DC Junior Fat and thought I’d give the gold top the full treatment too.

Note: my friend (who’s a pro tech) modded the gold top - it has had new Grover tuners and a bone nut fitted, and has benefited from a full and thorough setup as well. I mention this throughout the video, but just to make it clear here!

I ran the SC-450 through a Greer Lightspeed overdrive pedal and my Hughes & Kettner Black Spirit 200 head. That went from the Red Box DI straight into my Focusrite Scarlett 2i4, which went into Logic Pro X. That's it. No post-processing on the sounds was done.
