The Luxor Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas is celebrating its 31st anniversary today! Construction started on April 21, 1992, and the hotel opened its doors on October 15, 1993, after 18 months of building. This 30-story pyramid-shaped hotel draws inspiration from the Great Pyramid of Giza, standing at about three-quarters of its height. The resort's Egyptian-themed atmosphere features murals and statues that showcase iconic elements of ancient Egyptian culture.
