KRU signs two-year partnership deal with M-PESA

The Kenya Rugby Union has received a massive boost after signing a two-year partnership deal with Safaricom, through its global brand M-Pesa. Through the partnership, KRU will receive Ksh 90 million that will go towards the rugby sevens teams Shujaa and the Kenya Lionesses as they gear up for the HSBC World Rugby series and HSBC challenger series, respectively.

The deal also entails financial management programmes for the teams which will also benefit the players.
