Are slow tempos like 40bpm hard for you? While it may not be the flashiest tempo, any professional musician can easily play at 40bpm. Sometimes I tell my students to pretend they've been hired for a gig to record 'educational material' and the producer is asking them to demonstrate things at 40bpm. It's amazing what your brain will accept to do if you can pretend it's getting paid ;)
