In this experiment we are going to produce hydrogen gas using home depot stuff. It is a hydrogen generator based on hydrochloric acid. Then we will set it on fire and we are going to capture it on a plastic bag and make it explode.We need a crystal bottle with a cork (Should be crystal because the reaction will produce a lot of heat). We have to make a 12mm hole on the cork and insert a 12mm silicone tube.
Then we make a hole in the bottom of a 2 liters soda bottle and insert the silicone tube. You have to seal off the holes with a hot silicone pistol. You have to do a hole on the soda bottle cap and insert another silicone tube.
Next step is to fill with water the soda bottle.
The material is ready. Now, you can start the reaction fill 1/5 of the crystal bottle with muriatic acid (HCL) and insert two or three aluminium foil balls. Close the crystal container with the cork and the reaction will take place.
Toxic gas, aluminium chloride ALCL3 will get trap on the water and Hydrogen H² will be liberate throw the silicon tube on the soda bottle.
Never do this, it is very dangerous.
