So, I showed up to work today and there was a huge package in the driveway- it had a red bow and said Haus Plans. I couldn’t wait to see what was inside: a brand-new CAT 265 high flow XPS.
OK so this wasn’t a gift- I actually bought it with my own money, and it was a big decision.
This is the first brand-new machine I’ve ever bought- and it’s got everything: an air suspension seat with built-in heat and ventilation, advance joysticks- they look like something out of a fighter jet, three different cameras and an 8” touch screen monitor.
There’s even an external cup holder.
It has 280-foot pounds of torque and a 31-gallon fuel capacity.
The first thing I did was clean up the packaging; no seriously though, I had a ton of work to get done with this machine.

I’m going to miss my 259B3- I actually sold it to a friend and it’s going to be used on his farm.
Having a larger machine with a bigger bucket and the ability to load dump trucks is going to be so nice.
And I know what everyone’s thinking- NO, the new guy is not allowed to run this machine. @hausplans
