📌Save & share this with someone who wants to see the Northern Lights
✨I first chased the Northern Lights in another part of the Lapland Region in 2019, and this was the whole reason I came to Finland during this autumn season.
✨Many people associate the Northern Lights with winter, but it’s a misconception and the most active seasons are actually autumn and spring!
✨This is when the earth’s orientation towards the sun maximizes the probability of solar flares interacting with the planet’s magnetic field, which creates this mesmerizing phenomenon.
✨On average, the Northern Lights are most active between the hours of 10 pm - 2 am, so being in a location with longer dark days in the freezing cold just seems depressing to me.
✨The caveat, of course, is snow-covered foreground to go along with the lights.
