Paul, James (and Al), got a tip-off about an event held by Luxxtone Guitars at their workshop in Pasadena, California. When they arrived, they found not only some fantastic guitars but also a group of local guitar players, guitar builders and luthiers working together on a community project to provide full set-up and working guitars to those who have lost instruments in the recent California wildfires. All the guitars they are working on have been donated and will be sent out to a local performing art school to give those who have lost instruments something to keep their music-making alive. The Studio Rats are core band members Paul Drew on guitar/production/mixing, drummer James Ivey and Dan Hawkins on bass. They collaborate with singers and musicians to produce radio-ready songs.
