“Farruco/a" is a slang term used in Andalusia and Latin America to refer to someone from the Spanish provinces of Galicia or Asturias who is far from home.
Tina Pavon (Agustina Lopez Pavón, San Fernando, Cadiz 1948). Her family moved to Jerez de la Frontera in Cadiz. At twenty years old she moved to Huelva, where she begins to sing. In 1982 she wins the first award of Mairena del Alcor, and in 1983 she obtains the National Award in the "Cantes de Cadiz".
