In this hilarious scene from Rango (2011), our quirky chameleon hero, Rango, finds himself in a heated desert, hallucinating from dehydration. Suddenly, he hears a mysterious voice shouting, "Arm yourself!" Panicking, he mimics a toad by curling up to blend into the sandy terrain. The actual toad, unimpressed, retorts, "You're a bright green chameleon! Who are you fooling?" Before they can argue further, a hawk's screech pierces the air as it dives toward them. In a desperate attempt to hide, Rango dives into an empty glass jar, only to be snatched up by the hawk. As the hawk ascends, the jar slips from its talons, plummeting back to the ground and landing squarely on the sarcastic toad. Dazed but unharmed, the toad grumbles while Rango tumbles out of the shattered jar. Just as the toad begins to mock Rango's failed escape, the hawk returns, this time seizing the toad and carrying him away, leaving Rango bewildered but safe—for now.​
