When researching all of the Pokemon themes, this is one of the ones that stood out to me as not just a great intro but a great song. I've had it in my Spotify playlist for a couple of months now, it's such a good song.
This is the kind of stuff that I love to play. The rhythm part is interesting and not just boring 4/4 power chords, and of course it has a fun solo to play as well.
After Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald I didn't play Pokemon for a good few years, but X/Y was the series I came back to. I loved the introduction of the 3D models, it brought so much life to the Pokemon, and the moves looked a lot more interesting.
