Glyn Johns worked with some of rock'n'roll's finest - before they were famous.
He produced the Rolling Stones first demo recordings. They hawked them around the record labels but sadly, there were no takers.
The Led Zeppelin demo recordings fared much better and led to a record deal with Atlantic Records.
Glyn Johns also produced the Eagles' debut album, which generated three hit singles.
As well as being a very successful engineer and producer, he also developed the widely used "Glyn Johns Method" of micing up drums.
Not forgetting his work on the Beatles' Get Back tapes, which Phil Spector turned into the Beatles' swan song album, Let It Be.
