The harmony is rich and beautiful. The melody is sad and thoughtful. Khachaturian’s Andantino is part of his collection of pieces named, adventures of Ivan. This piece is known as Andantino or Ivan Sings. Aram Khachaturian composed many beautiful works, but his Andantino, or Ivan Sings, is one of his best remembered piano works. About the composer: Aram Khachaturian was born in 1903 Tbilisi, Georgia. Khachaturian was a Soviet Arminian composer and conductor. Khachaturian composed many works including ballets, orchestral music, Armenian folk music, other folk music, and Russian classical music. Aram Khachaturian is considered to be a 20th century composer.
