IJO - Breakspereance Out of 60+ releases I have done so far, there are only a handful of those best of the best to me. Breakspereance is one of them. In fact, this is so good to me, I had to cut a one-off 2x12" just to have in my record collection.
This track was done in 2010, when a lot of DJs around me were hyping dubstep and 140bpm stuff. It influenced me to make my own version of 140 jungle. This was the first track of such a sound, leading the way to the whole album, that was made over the course of 8 years. This album is special to me because it really sounds like me and is original, there are no other similar sounding tracks of this genre that I know of, I even called it Junglestep :)
Production wise - I didn't use hardware for jungle back then, so the whole track was made on Cubase VST32 and NI Kontakt for everything, except the wobbly dubstep bass that's coming from NI Massive. The whole mixing was done inside the Kontakt. I will upload a couple of more tunes from the album that were made at different times in different ways, I will give a short description of the process too.
