Hello friends! Happy Friday!A very exciting Friday it is, because today is the premiere of Disney's Raya and The Last Dragon on Disney Plus! I am so excited to watch the movie tonight!
The Disneybound challenge is also in full swing over on Instagram and today's prompt was Raya and The Last Dragon. Since I knew how excited my wonderful friend Janel is the watch the movie, I asked her if she would be interested in letting me style her as Raya! Lucky for me, she was super excited to do her first Disneybound and Cosplay, especially for a character that she can see herself reflected in.
It really is true that representation is so important and that this movie represents a very important moment for many people! I hope Disney will continue to create stories from diverse perspectives and create moments of representation, so that everyone can see themselves reflected in media. It's great that we have our first Southeast Asian princess, but there is a need for a LOT more diversity.
