"Wish you were here last night at the swish Soho Hotel for an attendance with David Gilmour for a Dolby Atmos Audio playback of his forthcoming fifth solo album Luck and Strange.
Hosted by BBC radio presenter Matt Everett who conducted an interview with the Pink Floyd guitarist about the recording of the album.
The lights were then dimmed for an immersive playback in full of Luck and Strange.
Full of landscaping music one would expect from a member of the seminal Pink Floyd there was much to treasure from the album including the slow bluesy funk of the title track, impressive The Piper’s Call,a cover of Between Two Points which features the delightful vocals of his talented daughter Romany Gilmour and the epic jam of Scattered.
Afterwards Gilmour mingled with guests in the complimentary bar. Among the throng of journalists, many of the people who worked on the album were also there including Romany and Guy Pratt who brought along his touring buddy Gary Kemp from Nick Mason’s Saucerful Of Secrets.
The album Luck and Strange is released on September 6th through Sony Music."
