The lady was preparing to close up shop soon and was preparing for her own dinner but she offered to give it to the man instead. The man then tried to decline because he didn't know the lady was preparing her own dinner.
But the kind woman said that it's was alright because she was trying to lose weight. He ate the meal and later came back to thank her again. He offered to make a promotional ad video for her street food stand for free since he is a filmmaker. But the lady politely declined. It took some convincing until she said yes.
The next day, they returned to shoot her video. After finishing, they showed it to the woman. In the video, it's revealed that she had graduated from a good university but after some career hardships, she decided to quit and start selling street food instead.
However, her selling street food has invited a lot of criticism and ridicule. They make fun for her and accused her of trying to gain wealthy men's sympathy by selling street food. Even though, no one said the same thing to any other street vendors nearby.
To these people, street vendor is a lowly job title and it gave them an excuse to look down on her. Even her own parents tried to convince her to give it up. They want her to get a normal corporate job, find someone, settle down, and have kids in the future.
However, she only wanted to be her own boss, even if she had to be a street vendor. She said that she doesn't care about people making fun of her anymore. She's just glad to make money with her own two hands.
