Progressive Excellence was my first mixtape sold in Toronto released in spring 1996. I was a funky breaks DJ prior in 1994-1995 but switched to progressive acid build-ups. The first song is my own record produced with Hatiras in DJ Slip's Vinyl Syndicate basement studio at the same time Mystical Influence & Sniper were making Dub Plate Pressure!
A friend designed this cassette insert artwork on CorelDraw that inspired my NK logo from Calvin Klein One onto a colourful cloud fill which I kept throughout all future mixtapes. Enjoy!
