After seen the Netflix documentary "Hip Hop Evolution" i realized that also in USA in 80/90s there was an huge pure electronics / electro scene with a precise sound and urban attitude. I'm not a real fan of hip hop but i loved the synthetic sound of what they call "techno", also known as "Miami Bass", a really iconic and ripetitive beat made with Roland TR-808. Now i don't have a 808 but i tried to recreate that typical sound with my most contemporary and cheap Korg Volca Drum that fits perfectly that type of drum synthesis with the 2 oscillators for channel, i used it with my Korg Volca Beats and his analog toms and pcm clap that fills at the end of cycles (unseen tweaking with mixer volume). Really fun variation are possible with the "Step Jump" on Volca Drum that firts perfectly with the genre :D
