In Arthurian legends, Y Llyn (Meaning the lake in Welsh) is associated with the Lady of the Lake, a mysterious and magical body of water that serves as a significant element in the legends surrounding King Arthur. This lake does not have a specific name in the earliest stories and is often simply referred to as “the lake” from which the Lady of the Lake emerges to bestow Excalibur upon Arthur. It is a place of enchantment, home to the Lady of the Lake and, in some versions of the legend, a portal to the Otherworld or Avalon, a mythical island associated with Arthurian lore.
