I'm teaching myself sound design, and I thought this would be a fun little project to do in my spare time. Might as well post it here. Got to put a lot of the skills I've learned over the last couple years to the test.
Would you believe me if I told you the first glitchy sound that plays after the sword is drawn I created using a recording of water? Wild.
I recorded (most of) the foley myself using a Lewet LCT 040 Match (pair) to a Zoom H4N Pro.
I'd say the hardest part was figuring out the sword and explosion sounds. You can't just go grab "cool explosion 8.mp3" and slap it in there.
Nothing quite sounded right until the bitter end.
Even now I'm not 100% satisfied with the result, but that just means I have a lot more to learn.
Was fun to push my skills to the limit. It really enlightened me to the things I don't know, and need to get educated on.
Hope you enjoyed it!
