I'm trying out a new studio workflow! I'm using my Nord keyboard, Digitakt for drums, and Output's Arcade Plug-In with a dash of Octatrack, of course. I'm just going to let the music flow and see what happens. I've always been a fan of Rick Rubin's work, and I'm really interested in his philosophy on creativity. He believes that creativity is a state of being, not a specific output. It's about being open to new experiences and ideas, and letting go of your inhibitions.
So in this video I just hit record on the cameras and wanted to see what would come out on the other end. I'm not going to worry about making anything perfect, I'm just going to let the music flow. Once I have a basic idea, I'll start recording things in as I feel necessary. I'm going to keep it simple, and just focus on creating a groove.
I'm really excited to see what happens when I try to tap into the creative frequencies. I'm hoping to create something that's both original and catchy. I hope you enjoy the video!
