During our stay at this wine hotel we got to enjoy wine o'clock and sample their Malbec wine (only 5000 bottles are made per year!) We also got to partake in a wonderful asado with fellow guests from around the world, and try their delicious tapas which use olive oil from the hotel's very own olive grove.
We also took a little excursion to Finca Adalgisa’s sister winery: Bodega Furlotti. This is a working bodega so the tastings were straight from the tanks. We sampled 3 wines at various stages of the winemaking process ranging from young and fruity to mature and full-bodied. It was a fun experience and lucky for us, we’d be enjoying some of Bodega Furlotti’s wines back at the finca for dinner that evening.
We hope this video will give you an idea of what it's like to stay at a boutique wine hotel in Mendoza! For further reading, here's a blog post all about our stay at Finca Adalgisa:
🍇 Luxury Stay at Finca Adalgisa | Boutique Wine Hotel & Vineyard in Mendoza, Argentina 🍷
🏡 Arrival at Finca Adalgisa: Mendoza’s Hidden Gem
Welcome to Finca Adalgisa! In this episode, we check into a boutique wine hotel and vineyard just 25 minutes outside downtown Mendoza, Argentina. Surrounded by century-old Malbec vines and ancient olive trees, this fourth-generation estate is the ultimate peaceful escape for wine lovers. With just 5,000 bottles produced each year, every glass is a rare treat.
🍷 Complimentary Wine & Gourmet Tapas
One of the highlights of Finca Adalgisa? Every evening, guests enjoy a complimentary glass of estate wine with gourmet appetizers at 6 p.m. We start with a 2008 Malbec, relishing its ruby red color and refreshing aroma. Tonight’s tapas spread features:
Mini sliders with avocado, tomato, and onions
Grilled eggplant with goat cheese
Basil, cherry tomatoes, and coarse salt on rustic bread
The olive oil, pressed from the finca’s own trees, is a revelation—delicate, fruity, and golden.
🧀 Tapas Feast & Local Flavors
But the appetizers are just the beginning! Soon, the real feast arrives:
Assorted local salami and spicy sausages
Four types of artisanal cheeses
Almonds, raisins, grapes, and homemade bread
More estate olive oil for dipping
The grilled veggies—eggplant, pumpkin, onions, tomatoes, broccoli, carrots, and zucchini—round out the meal, cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor.
🌄 Waking Up in Paradise: Country Breakfast
Morning at Finca Adalgisa is pure bliss. We wake to a huge breakfast spread:
Fresh pastries and cakes
Local fruit
Eggs (scrambled with cheese or as a massive, loaded omelette)
It’s the perfect start before exploring the vineyards and local attractions.
🍇 Vineyard & Winery Tour: Bodega Furlotti
After breakfast, we set out to Bodega Furlotti, a sister winery nearby. Touring the cellar, we learn about the winemaking process and sample varietals with vibrant colors and berry-like aromas. Each step brings us closer to understanding Mendoza’s legendary wine culture.
🏰 Suite Upgrade: A Room Tour
Back at Finca Adalgisa, we receive a special upgrade: a sprawling suite with
Rustic living room and real wood-burning fireplace
Cozy reading nook
Spacious master bedroom with king-size bed
Luxurious bathroom with double sinks and walk-in shower
It’s a dream retreat fit for a wine country king or queen!
🍖 Asado Night: Communal Barbecue & Malbec
As night falls, it’s time for the legendary asado—Argentina’s iconic barbecue. Guests gather around a long communal table as the fire is lit and the meats start to sizzle. We sip on a 2014 Malbec from Bodega Furlotti, the perfect pairing for smoky, tender cuts fresh off the grill.
Great food, new friends, laughter, and stories shared under the Mendoza sky—there’s no better way to experience Argentina!
