
In the context of OCD, we want to help our clients recognize the difference. More specifically, anger can be unproductive when our clients direct it at resisting their diagnosis or blaming themselves for things beyond their control.
On the flip side, anger can be constructive when it empowers our clients to confront and overcome OCD.
As their therapists, it is our role to show them how to direct their anger in ways that are productive and useful.
