In a major 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat' push, India has batted for an independent trade policy. India refrained from joining the fourth pillar of trade of U.S-led Indo-Pacific Economic Framework . As per Reuters, Modi government's decision to opt out of negotiations with the U.S-led group of Asian nations came in India's bid to avoid easing access to its markets via a multi-country deal.
