Amphion likes to do things a little differently. Our recent LIVE-SESSION | SEMINAR on NOV 11, at Red Bull Studios, Tokyo, was just one of those occasions. 30 artists, engineers, producers, and some fans, were part of this fabulous funk/soul studio-session to hear both "Magic Man" and "Two18". At Amphion, we've always believed strongly in "Hearing is Believing" to showcase our gear. And when you tap a band this good to put something together in an hour or two, we got the best of both worlds for our special seminar in the Shibuya, Tokyo in the studios of Red Bull..

The Video: Recorded (2 x Takes + Extra-overdubs) by the Philip Woo Band during the seminar. Attendees could compare the sounds of the live room vs control room, and verify just how marvellously transparent and clear Amphion monitors are. The session was tracked/mixed by Ryu Kawashima (Red Bull Studios Tokyo's chief engineer) and videoed by Nick Clegg (Sound Factory, Yokohama). The seminar-event was presented by Amphion's Founder, Anssi Hyvonen.

About Philip Woo: Based in Tokyo, and originally from Seattle, USA, Philip Woo is a renowned Jazz, Soul, Blues, and Funk Keyboardist, as well as a Bandleader, Producer, and Composer. He has toured and recorded with so many of the world’s greatest entertainers: Roberta Flack, Whitney Houston, Kenny G, Grover Washington Jr., Cyndi Lauper, Roy Ayers, Ashford & Simpson, Patti LaBelle, Deborah Harry, Gladys Knight the Pips, The O’Jays, The Four Tops, Womack and Womack and many more. He has appeared on TV with Stevie Wonder, BB King, Curtis Mayfield, James Ingram, Nancy Wilson.
