I’m using ‘punk’ as a general term here as there are some proto-punk and post-punk songs included. Inspired by the likes of The Velvet Underground, I'm tuning all strings to 'C'. Lou Reed, main singer and songwriter of the Velvet Underground, came up with the idea of tuning all strings to the same note on some of their early songs. Other bands such as Sonic Youth and Soundgarden have used similar tunings.
