
Overall, OCD hates uncertainty and it wants to pull clients away from their values. PERIOD!
Showing clients how to slow down and teaching them strategies for not giving meaning to every shift in their various themes is vital, because they won't naturally know how to do this.
Just because we say "slow down" or "practice acceptance" or don't give meaning," may not be easily attainable or applicable.
It's the "know how" that they're coming to us for!
