
Key Tips:
•OEM Parts Only: Ensure the replacement back glass includes the wireless charging pad pre-installed. The pad is part-paired to the motherboard and critical for proper functionality.
•Don’t Rip Off the Charging Pad: Removing it from the old glass is extremely difficult and not recommended. I did end up doing this, but I tested the phone afterward to ensure it still worked because it was powered off.
•Battery Safety: Be very cautious when working near the battery. It’s accessible through the frame, and using a pry tool recklessly can puncture it, potentially causing a fire. 🔥
Broken Connectors: I accidentally cut a connector during this repair but ensured the device was powered off, and it still worked—although this isn’t ideal.
