Bernice Johnson Reagon, a civil rights leader and co-founder of The Freedom Singers and Sweet Honey in the Rock, passed away at 81. Born in Georgia, she studied music at Albany State and was inspired by King Jr.'s arrest. Reagon married Freedom Singers co-founder Cordell Reagon and started Sweet Honey in the Rock.
