This is, as far as I'm concerned, one of the absolute GREATEST vocal tracks of ALL time - and I'm trying to contain my excitement right now. The Joey Negro mix is nothing short of a house masterpiece - actually it's a musical masterpiece, forget genres - every single thing I want music to do, "Can't Get Over Your Love" DOES. It's beyond sultry. It's beyond soulful. It's beyond sophisticated. Pure class. It's definitive HOUSE and the magician is David Lee. It's as close to a perfect record as you can get, and I'm releasing serotonin right now just typing about it. The original record from one year earlier (1989, also on Republic) is also a gorgeous must-have classic, and the original mixes are by Paul Simpson who used the alias "Simphonia" twice.
