I wrote this song based on various African rhythms. I used three of my custom Stratocasters.
The main part is played with my hollow body Stratocaster featuring a custom loaded pickguard with Wilkinson pickups, a 6 position varitone and a warm switch.
The rhythmic part is played with a scalloped Stratocaster sporting Lace Sensor pickups and the third strat used is my heavily modified Modern Player stratocaster.
This song was first written for my seven-piece orchestra back in 1999. The lineup was: trumpet, tenor sax, guitar, piano, bass, drums & percussion. I recorded the original arrangement playing each part on the guitar, using different sound and frequencies every time possible.
