There's a Recurring Mistake that keeps sneaking into the Sonic movies, and most people haven’t caught it. In Sonic 2, after Sonic speeds off and Tails wakes up, he’s clearly seen wearing a backpack. But just moments later, when the camera angle changes, it’s completely gone. The same thing happens in Sonic 3—one second, Tails has his backpack, and in the next shot, it magically vanishes. But that’s not the only strange mistake. In another scene, Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles are chained together, with Tails on Sonic’s right and Knuckles on his left. However, in the very next shot—right as they go through a portal—their positions are suddenly swapped! Could Tails’ backpack turn invisible? Did the characters switch places in some unexplained way? Or are these just repeated editing oversights? Either way, it'll be interesting to see if these continuity errors continue in Sonic the Hedgehog 4.
