The Dufay Collective was formed in 1987 to explore the rich and varied repertoire of the Middle Ages and Renaissance. They are a group of musicians who work together, as their name implies, without a director.
A record that is quite difficult to find and too little indexed by the internet even for those like me who actively follow the Dufay Collective which here presents a repertoire of 13th century Trouvères which mainly includes Adam de la Halle and Guillaume d'Amiens.
Then we also have a piece attributed to the sovereign Thibaut de Champagne and the rest are anonymous melodies and motets among the most beautiful and well-known that have come down to our days.
