Behind the alias Zanamanzana hides Alejandro Remedios, a Madrid-based selector whose passion for music awoke at the early age of 13. That’s when he began digging deeper, beyond mainstream radio, a pursuit that intensified years later during a stay in Philadelphia (USA), where he immersed himself in the city’s music and culture.

Upon his return, this vinyl lover and devoted music head had developed an exquisite taste that knows no boundaries when it comes to his DJ sets. In his record bag, you’ll find everything from reggae, funk, disco, and house to electro — dance music with soul and light. Zanamanzana seeks to convey to the listener — and dancer — the love and passion he feels for music, making them experience something close to what he felt when hearing his own musical heroes live. And he achieves this through tasteful and sensitive selections that transcend genres and eras.
