Even before he was declared president-elect on Wednesday, the Canadian government has tried to reassure citizens that it has a plan to deal with a second Donald Trump presidency – which could include some big changes.
Trump has vowed sweeping tariffs on foreign imports, the mass deportation of migrants and more pressure for allies, including Canada, to ramp up their defence spending.
