Just to confirm that he was seeing things right. Turns out, it was. The store owner even told the man that the old couple were here to sell apples.
The man told the store owner to give the old couple one more bowl of noodles on him. And told her to add more meat.
When they were leaving, they spotted the old couple again. So they stopped their car and walked up to the old couple. A woman was haggling prices with the old man so the man told the old man that he would buy all his apples.
He invited the old man back to his house to put the apples but on the way the old man recognized him and thanked him for giving him one bowl of noodles for free.
The old woman was actually his mother. The man asked why he brought his mother along, turns out, his mother doesn't have anyone to look after her.
After telling the old man to keep the change, the man and his friend asked if they could drop them home. So they did. While they were talking on the front porch, a neighbor walked up to them, he wanted to see if the men were bad people.
They two had been given fake bills earlier this year. Upon checking, yes, indeed, the money was real. That made the neighbor trust the two more.
The old man also took them to see his apple field. He's upset that the harvest wasn't good this year due to the weather and the hailstorm earlier didn't help either. But he assured the man that the taste isn't altered despite a few bruises.
Knowing that the old man really needed money, the men although didn't have a lot of money, agreed to buy as much apples from them as possible. The old man was grateful. He even gave the men some walnuts to take home. He grew them himself.
