Quillette Founding Editor Claire Lehmann has speculated Labor's landslide election win in Western Australia may be due to the Liberal Party being seen as the “party of NIMBYs” which “represents landlords".

“It shows that the Liberal Party doesn’t have a message that really resonates maybe with younger people,” Ms Lehmann said.

“I don’t see much of a narrative around housing and that will show up in state results.”
